Real Oviedo Head Coach Luis Carrión appeared in the Press Room at El Requexón this morning, speaking to the gathered members of the media. The Asturians will face Elche this Friday, in what will be a difficult match against a promotion rival.

"They are a very well-worked team and they do things very well. They are brave and press high defensively. We have watched a lot of their matches to see how we can hurt them, and the team is focused on going there and showing character. We have to be a big team and go there to win, not just to speculate. They will do the same, and I think it will be a good match."

Asked about Cazorla's absence through injury, Luis Carrión admitted that "obviously having a player of his quality missing has an impact, but the biggest impact is on him. He was incredibly excited and I feel bad for him. People are working very well, though, and whichever team goes out there will be a great team."

Finally, regarding the step that Los Azules need to take in order to make it into a playoff place, the Gaffer explained that "I can sense a lot of anxiety, in the players, in the club, and in you... I tell the players that they are constantly thinking about getting in there when what we need to do is enjoy it. We have to enjoy the journey and go to Elche to put in a good performance. The consequence of that will be winning and getting into the playoffs. We have to stay calm. We hope that come 22:30 tomorrow we will be in a playoff place, but the objective is to be in one come Matchday 42."
