Real Oviedo captain, Miguel Linares, appeared in the Press Room this morning following the team´s training session. He scored both goals which resulted in the victory against Lorca. "Forwards live on goals, and if it helps the team to win, that's perfect. The important thing was to win, it didn't matter how, and we gained three points."

Linares was asked about the numerous opportunities the team created, and Miguel explained that "I had my first chance within the first minute of the match. I don't know if it was the system or the match, but the team's offense created more opportunities than on other days. We scored two goals, and I believe that it could have been even more."

After a long discussion with the coach on the training field this morning, the forward mentioned that "the coach is always aware of everything, both personally and professionally."

Looking at the final stretch, and asked about the team's impressions, Linares indicated that "what we want most is to be in the playoff. There are still points at stake, we are down one, and we are going to try with all our strength. Winning in Pamplona would be a very important step. We know the difficulties it presents. Above all, becoming that solid team again, which made it difficult for the other team to score. I believe that on Saturday, we will have a good chance to show that."

Regarding the recovery of that feeling of being that team, a team that blocks the opposing team in many parts of the match, the Real Oviedo captain recalled that "the team has been at its best when we have managed to overwhelm the opponent. We have to leave everything we have on the field in order to win and be where we want."

Finally, when asked about the closeness of the highest classified teams, Linares assured that "I don't look at the lower ones because I only look at Oviedo. What I want is to win on Saturday, we're down one point, and try to make that up. If we look at the rest, we are making a mistake. We need to focus on ourselves and on winning matches," he concluded.
