Real Oviedo full back, Diegui Johannesson, appeared in the Press Room at El Requexón following Juan Antonio Anquela’s latest training session.

Talking about the week and the state of the team going into this weekend’s match, Diegui Johannesson stated that, “we are getting on well. It’s been a bad run, but we must stick together and push on. We are only in Matchday 10. It is a long season and every team has bad spells. It’s our turn at the moment, and the only option is to keep working.” Regarding the match in Granada, the Asturian declared that, “the team didn’t show up. It
wasn’t the type of performance we had been giving. It was our turn to have a poor match.”

With respect to what Juan Antonio Anquela said about the game in Granada, in which he made clear his displeasure with his team’s performance, Diegui Johannesson admitted that, “it’s normal that he was angry after the match. We went into it working well, just suffering bad luck, and I think we must keep going. We believe in the Coach, as he does in us. We must keep going.”

Regarding his return to the team and how he feels personally, the Carbayón defender said that, “I am happy. We are praying not to get injured again. I’m back with the group and I’m here to help the team when the Coach sees fit.” In addition, asked whether he prefers to play full back or on the wing in Juan Antonio Anquela’s side, Johannesson reiterated that, “I am here to help the team. I feel comfortable in both positions, so I can play in either with no problems.”

Finally, referring to Córdoba and what he is expecting from Sunday’s match at the Carlos Tartiere, Diegui Johannesson declared that, “Córdoba have conceded the most goals in the division but it won’t be easy. They will
come for the win, but we are at home,” he concluded.
