Real Oviedo full back, Diegui Johannesson, appeared before the media following today’s team training session and evaluated the loss in Zaragoza.
The defender began with his analysis of the match, saying that “the team competed very well, especially in the first half. We had chances but they didn't go in. We missed a penalty and dropped off a little bit, and that’s where their two goals came from. It’s true that we didn’t give up on the match, we had confidence and I think that is the path that we should follow for the rest of the season.”
He noted his disappointment that the team was not able to achieve four consecutive victories in row, which “would have been very important,” but said that they are already focused on their next fixture. The Cádiz squad that comes to the Tartiere “did not begin the season very well, but now has great momentum.” It has been weeks since Real Oviedo has had a home match, and Diegui hopes that the condition of the pitch, which is undergoing renovation, “has improved”, but understands that it “will be difficult given how much it has rained” in the last few weeks. The aim, Johannesson commented, is “to get stronger at the Tartiere.”
