Real Oviedo forward Ibrahima Baldé appeared in the Press Room at El Requexón today.
Talking about his return to the squad, the Real Oviedo striker admitted “I was looking forward to being back with the group and training with my teammates. It is good to be back, and even better given that we are on a good run. I am happy to be able to contribute to the team. When you are injured, you suffer knowing that you can’t do anything. I would rather be on the bench then out injured.”
When asked about the change in the team’s form, Ibra stated that “we are the same group of guys. We can continue to get positive results, but we have to give 200%.” Commenting on the recovery and return of some of his teammates, the Senegalese striker added that “it is always better to have everyone, because whoever plays is going to give it their all, and they are going to do it well. Every one of us is going to give everything we got because every point counts. We have to think about ourselves and how we can give it our all.”
Speaking about his injury, the forward commented that “it hurts to be ruled out when you were helping the team. Now I just have to forget about that and think about each day as it comes. We are going to give it our all out on the pitch, in front of our fans. We have to think about the team and score when we get the opportunities. We are in a difficult division and it all comes down to the smallest of details."
Finally, ahead of this weekend’s match against Cádiz, Ibra concluded that “it does not matter who we play against, we have to do everything the best we can, until the very end. We have to give everything to the people that give everything for us. We are lucky to be at a club like Real Oviedo, with such a great fanbase. We need to give them this win, and we think that we are going to get it. I am convinced that we will have the chances, but we need to take advantage of them and score.”
