Folch: "We are in good form in terms of points and our play”
The midfielder looks back on the month of January positively and highlights the need to not forget the objective: “compete every weekend”
Real Oviedo midfielder Ramon Folch appeared before the media this morning after the team’s training session at the Tensi facilities. “We´re already thinking about Cádiz,” the Catalan said. “It's going to be a complicated match.” He assured that the team “has already moved on” from the defeat in La Romareda, even though he admitted that “we went into the match hoping to get our fourth victory in a row. It wasn’t to be. We are in good form in terms of points and our play, and we must follow this path.”
The team closes out the month having gained nine of twelve possible points, something that has helped them not to lose sight of their objective. Folch stated that “there are many teams and we take each week as it comes. We need to compete this weekend and see where we are after that.”
Talking about the next opponent, Cádiz, Folch pointed out that they “are solid defensively and have a strong counterattack. We will try to keep them under control, maintain our strength in defence and create opportunities.” The team is “ready to come home and earn points in front of our fans” this Sunday at the Tartiere.
Talking about the departure of his teammate Boateng, whom he said goodbye to this morning, Ramon Folch commented that “we all wish him the best of luck and hope that everything goes well for him.”
