The Press Room at El Requexón today saw Jimmy speak to the media, following another training session for Sergio Egea’s men.
The local lad, who will be available to face Fuenlabrada this weekend, admitted that “I’m really looking to playing football. In the end I couldn’t play in the first two matches due to matters which were out of my hands, but now I’m hungry to get my first minutes.”
Asked for his opinion on the team, looking in from the sidelines, the midfielder said that “the team has competed but we have to correct things. We’ve lost points in the final minutes, but I think the team looks good. We have to focus for the full 90 minutes. It’s hard to win in this division and we have to focus for the full 90 minutes.”
Regarding the next opponent, Fuenlabrada, the youth-team product highlighted that “they’re on a good run, but we are going there to give everything and to go for the three points. It’s a long season. We want the first victory of the season, and we know that we need be calm.”
Finally, with respect to his chances of claiming a starting place, Jimmy concluded by commenting that “giving everything is in my hands. I am confident and focused. My teammates are doing very well. If I get to come into the team then I’ll come in, but if not then I’ll support from the bench. At the end of the day it’s not up to me.”
