Real Oviedo Vetusta played their first home match of the league season today at El Requexón, with Los Azules beating UP Langreo 2-1.

On a very rainy morning at El Requexón, Vetusta managed to add their first three points of the season, in what was a hard-fought match which ultimately fell their way. Both teams had chances in the first half and both enjoyed spells of domination. Los Azules struck first with a fine Samuel Obeng effort, which the visiting keeper was powerless to do anything about. The teams went in for the break with the score 1-0. The B team emerged more strongly for the second half than Langreo, dominating both the opportunities and the play. They doubled their lead when Samuel Obeng grabbed his second. The away side pushed forward after the goal and tried to find a way past Jaume in the Vetusta goal. Langreo cut the deficit to 2-1, leading to some very competitive minutes of play, where both teams had chances to score. Eventually, Real Oviedo Vetusta were able to claim their first three points of the season.

Next up for Real Oviedo Vetusta is a trip to the Canary Islands to face Las Palmas B.
