The Press Room at the Carlos Tartiere today saw Jimmy speak to the media.
Regarding this weekend and his chances of claiming a spot in the centre of midfield, the Oviedo-born player commented that "I've got a chance of coming into the team, but I am training in the same way.  I am working for myself and for the team.  We are training well every week, and I am ready. The Coach will decide.  We are as prepared as can be and if I'm picked, great.  I want to get minutes; that's what all footballers live for."
Asked how he feels after not featuring in the past few matchday squads, Jimmy admitted that "I am a strong-minded player.  People around me tell me things very clearly.  Past experiences help me.  They help me keep calm and believe in myself.  The fact the Coach believes in me is a positive. Confidence depends on you; nobody gifts you anything.  There are four of us who play in the middle, and we are going to get opportunities.  Whoever plays will have to show why."
With respect to the Málaga fixture, the academy graduate highlighted that "it wasn't the best match, but we had been feeling good before it.  We can't let the defeat affect us.  Every match in Segunda is even.  We have to show hunger, attitude, and go for the win."
Finally, regarding the next opponent, Almería, Jimmy concluded by saying that "they are doing well.  They have match-winning players, but I hope that the Tartiere helps us to get the victory."
