Real Oviedo Vetusta forward Samuel Obeng set off for Ghana on Wednesday 30th October, to meet up with his nation's under-23 team. He will represent the side during the qualifying matches for Tokyo 2020, with the qualifiers to be held in Egypt.
The Carbayón forward has been spending time training with both the B team and the first team this season, getting some match time and scoring one LaLiga goal with the latter. He will miss Real Oviedo Vetusta's league matches for the next few weeks, joining back up with Los Azules in mid-November.
Samuel Obeng will spend a few days in his nation preparing for the matches. He will then face Egypt, Mali and Cameroon, who are Ghana's Group A opponents in the Tokyo 2020 qualifying matches.
