Real Oviedo midfielder, Javi Muñoz, today appeared in the Press Room at El Requexón.

The midfielder began by weighing up the atmosphere around the team and how they go into Sunday’s match at Santo Domingo, saying “we are looking forward to going there and going for the three points. We need to do the things that we’re working on. We have talked about what’s happened to us and how we didn’t play well. We weren’t good, and we didn’t get the win.”

Asked about the differences between the team at home and away, Muñoz said that, “we’ve been a different team away from home. We have to find consistency. We need to look for three points every week and do what the Coach asks of us.” In addition, the midfielder stated that, “I don’t think it’s due to pressure. We didn’t put the things we’d worked on into practice and we didn’t do what was demanded of us.”

Ahead of Sunday’s clash, Javi Muñoz highlighted that “Alcorcón are a great side and strong at home. We are going to work hard and go looking for the victory with excitement. We are going to try to do what the Coach asks of us. If we do the basics well then we will be closer to winning.”

Finally, regarding the competition in the centre of the pitch, Muñoz said that “there’s four of us, five including Edu. There’s good competition and the Coach has to be the one to rotate the positions,” he concluded.
