We get to know the B-team centre back in the season of his return to the Real Oviedo academy

Javi Moreno's footballing story is full of twists and turns but a whole life of Oviedismo. "He's an Oviedo boy, close to his family and with lots of friends. He is studying physiotherapy and is a big Real Oviedo fan."
The youth-team player discusses his time at the academy, featuring good and not-so-good moments. He departed the club after finishing his time with the under 19s, but there was a happy ending as he returned to the club from the capital of Asturias for the 2021/22 season.
The Oviedo-born defender, who is a crucial part of Jaime Álvarez's Real Oviedo Vetusta side, underlines effort, dedication and hard work as the keys to any success.
