Real Oviedo attacker Jorge Pombo appeared in the Press Room at El Requexón at the start of a new week.
Following the team's setback yesterday in Valladolid, the creative player admitted that "we went away annoyed, given that we did more than the result reflects. We are on the right track, but we have been missing that bit of luck."
Regarding the side's performance at the José Zorrilla, Pombo highlighted that "we were aggressive, but the opportunities that we had didn't go in. We needed to get more shots away, but we pinned them back in their half and did well. We controlled the second half. It's important to go away from games feeling good, but we would prefer to win while not playing well. However, it's important to feel like you've played well against big teams. We know that we did things well. Now we have to think about getting the three points in Fuenlabrada because that's what's coming up."
Despite the defeat, Los Azules remain just three points off the playoff places. Discussing this, the winger commented that "we are focusing on each game, which is a good thing. We are not thinking about the playoffs, but rather just about getting the three points. What's in our hands is to put in a good performance and give everything."
Finally, with respect to his feelings on an individual level, Pombo highlighted that "I'm feeling good and confident. The Coach needs me for the moments in which we have to go after the win, and I am here for whatever I am needed for."
