Real Oviedo striker Ibrahima Baldé today appeared in the Press Room at El Requexón.
With a few hours having passed since the Cádiz clash, the Senegalese forward wanted to bring an end to the controversy around the incident between Christian Fernández and Fali, stating that "it's very easy.  It
should have been a red card.  It was a terrible incident; you can't explain it any other way.  It was one for VAR and would have meant a completely different game."
With respect to the fixture against the Andalusians, Ibra said that "we knew the game plan.  They are a good team, and it was all much more difficult for us after conceding."
Regarding the two matches Real Oviedo face this week, first in the Copa del Rey against Badalona and then at El Sardinero, the attacker said that "we must have things clear.  We are thinking about Wednesday, and then the important match against Santander.  On Saturday we have a 'cup final' to win."
Speaking about his prospects of getting minutes in the knockout fixture, Ibra believes that "I might start.  I am hungry to play and I want to do so.  The cup is where you have to play to get fit.  I don't have to prove anything to anybody, I have to just be myself.  We have to win on Wednesday to stay in the cup; it's a must-win match."  With respect to his personal feelings, the Senegalese striker highlighted that "I feel good in training, but I'm gutted when I don't play.  They are decisions; you have to deal with them and keep going."
Finally, ahead of the match in Santander, the forward reasoned that "they need points.  We have to go there to put in a good performance.  They have good players, but we must only think about winning.  We have to finish the year outside the relegation zone."
