Real Oviedo forward Ibrahima Baldé appeared in the Press Room this morning, following the team’s training session at El Requexón.
The player preferred to “forget everything that has happened and focus, because we’ve got an important and tough opponent coming up. We are really disappointed about what happened on Sunday.”
Ibra wants to “try to be better than we have been, since Dépor have a great team.” The striker underplayed the importance of the possibility of starting this weekend, stating that “the Coach and his staff are in charge. Whatever they ask of me, I’ll give 100%. If I am in the starting eleven and I have more minutes and chances, awesome. If I am given 15 or 20 minutes, then I will fight to the death. I am not thinking about it on an individual level, I am thinking about the team because we all deserve to play. We have all played. The most important thing is that you give everything you can when they let you play, especially for our fans, who are incredible and give me 1000%. It doesn’t matter what you’re asked to do; you have to be there to give it everything. You’ve got to keep pushing until things work out well.”
When asked about the next opponent’s defensive strength, the forward concluded that “I don’t care if they are strong, we are ready to face whoever we come up against. We’ve got to be prepared because it is an important match, and we’ll give it everything we’ve got. We have a tank in Toché, then there’s me, there’s Joselu… We are ready to fight against everybody. It doesn’t matter which opponent we are playing, we are stronger at home with our fans. We have to thank our fans. If you don’t dream in life you may as well go home, and I am going to dream about this club no matter what happens. The objective is to finish as high as possible.”
