Ellakuri today played host to the match between Real Oviedo Vetusta and CD Vitoria, which formed part of Matchday 31. The clash ended in a 0-0 draw and a share of the spoils.

Javi Rozada’s side made several changes to their lineup from last weekend and came out with the clear intention of going toe-to-toe with a CD Vitoria side in desperate need of points to get out of relegation trouble. Both teams created danger during the first half, with ‘Los Azules’ having a goal ruled out for a debatable foul on the keeper. As has become the norm, the B team dominated possession and were solid in defence, managing to overcome the host’s threats. Things followed the same script after the break, with Real Oviedo Vetusta trying to find a way through with possession of the ball and mobility up front. The keeper and a failure to convert chances denied Vetusta the win, despite ‘Los Azules’ ending the game camped in the opposition’s box.

Real Oviedo Vetusta picked up another point to cut the distance to the fourth-placed team. Next up is a trip to Las Gaunas to face Logroñés.
