Real Oviedo central midfielder Ramon Folch appeared in the Press Room at El Requexón today.

Going through a new week of training, the Catalan reasoned that “what happened the other day was a huge blow. We deserved more, but we have turned over a new page and now we’re only thinking about Dépor and earning the next three points.” Moreover, regarding the defeat against Sporting, the midfielder stated that “we had been doing well in the derbies up until now. It was our time to see the other side of things, but we have to keep pressing forward.”

When asked about the importance of playing three of the next four fixtures at the Carlos Tartiere, Ramon stated that “we are playing at home, against difficult opponents, but with our fans behind us. They are always with us. We are going for those three points. We have to try to earn as many points as possible, but we have to take it one game at a time.”

With respect to his substitute role at El Molinón on Sunday, Folch said that “we are a group of twenty-one players and any of us can play. We have to keep working hard and wait to see what the Coach decides. We are all here to contribute. The Coach is the one who decides and what matters is earning points. Whether you are in or out of the team, the points are the important thing.”

Addressing the protest that the club and fans will make this Sunday, as a demonstration against the treatment received in several stadiums that they have travelled to, Ramon stated that “in the year and half that I have been here, our fans have been exemplary. We thank them for their support. We will go with them to the death and we hope that they keep supporting us like they always do. It is good that the fans demonstrate, and if we could then we would do the same. We are aiming to score in the first twelve minutes, and when they come in, they’ll bring reinforcements."

Finally, regarding the match against Deportivo, Folch concluded that “you’ve just got to see the intensity of the training sessions. We are very excited. Dépor is one of the strong teams that are going to make things difficult for us, but we are going for those three points. We are going to put a lot of intensity into it.”
