The sports facilities at El Requexón were the site of the second match of official competition for Real Oviedo Vetusta, a match in which Javi Rozada’s team defeated Caudal Deportivo 3-0.
After their first match in the Copa Federación last weekend at El Entrego, the Real Oviedo reserve team faced a new opponent this afternoon, which they drubbed with superb defensive strategy and effective attack. In the first half, the Oviedistas created danger from both wings and had many opportunities by the forwards. Lobato’s goal surprised the visiting goalkeeper with a header when he was too far from the goal, and put Javi Rozada’s team ahead in the first few minutes. Vetusta’s domination was evident during the second half as well, and it was reflected in the goals by Eloy and David González, the last of which was from the penalty spot.
With this victory, the Azules add their first three points and are now in second place in the clasification table, with L’Entregu at the top of the standings with 6 points. Real Oviedo Vetusta will have another matchday next Wednesday, August 15th at 7:00 p.m. at El Requexón against L’Entregu.
