Real Oviedo defender, Juan Forlín, appeared in the Press Room this morning following the team’s training session at El Requexón. “We’ve moved on from the Granada game, and are thinking about Sunday, which is like a final.” Following Saturday’s defeat, Forlín admitted that, “we were all angry. Both us and the fans were angry because nobody expected it. Now we must turn the page and prepare as best we can for the next match. The Coach has complete belief in us, as we do in him too, as well as in the squad that we have to come through this period.”
The defender commented that the way to come through it “is to work hard. Sooner or later the form will change. I am trying to adapt to my midfield position as quickly as possible to do what the Coach is asking of me. I
want to give my best in whichever position I play.”
Asked about Juan Antonio Anquela’s anger after the match, Forlín explained that, “in the previous match before Saturday we deserved more than a draw and the fans saw the team fighting. However, the most important things are the results and the table, and therefore the anger and telling-off make sense.”
For Forlín, “every game is a final, and we must show that we all want to play in every match. I think that training and playing in this way will bring the results.” Regarding Sunday’s match at the Tartiere against a
Córdoba side in need of points, the defender said that, “we all want it, and we have to win every weekend. This is a long season and there are many games to go. We are at home and have the obligation to win, whoever we are up against,” he concluded.
