Real Oviedo midfielder, Ramon Folch, appeared in the Press Room at El Requexón today.

Following the victory at the Anxo Carro, the Catalan commented that, “we have responded. We worked during the week so that we could compete and we are happy with the result we got.” In addition, regarding the importance of keeping a clean sheet, Folch said that, “the Coach always tells us to be solid and concede few goals. Eventually, we achieved it. If you consider that it’s also an away win, then everything is positive. We hope to get the three points now in front of our own fans at the Tartiere. If we get points away and are strong at home then things will go well for us.”

Regarding his fine performance yesterday against the Galician side, the midfielder highlighted that, “I will do what the Coach asks of me and we are all going to be important. I contribute to my team with my role, just like everyone else. We are all working for the same thing and listening to what the Coach is asking of us.” Furthermore, with respect to the importance of the strikers scoring, Folch believes that, “it’s good. They have to score goals and contribute to the team. They help us a lot. We
have to work together, become solid and avoid conceding goals. We have to work hard for the team; that must be the objective.”

Asked about Edu Cortina’s LaLiga debut and the role of the several B team players now involved with the first team, Folch stated that, “Edu competes and has a good understanding of football. We have a small squad, but several B team players who can help the first team. It’s important.”

Finally, with respect to the fans’ backing in Lugo yesterday, the midfielder declared that, “you go out to warm up and you think you’re playing at home. The fans never stop surprising us. They help us out,” he concluded.
