Real Oviedo returned to the Carlos Tartiere to face Burgos CF on matchday 4 of LaLiga Hypermotion. After the victory in Albacete, the blues wanted to gift their fans a win, but the match quickly became complicated with Aldasoro's sending off.

The strong start by the Carbayón team inspired optimism. Calero's men dominated at all times and pinned Burgos back in the opening stages until Aldasoro's expulsion. The midfielder saw the red card, after a VAR review, for a tackle on an opposing player, leaving his team with one player less.

Despite being outnumbered, Real Oviedo kept trying and did not give up in their attempts to secure the three points.

After the restart, and when Burgos was at their best, Enzo came onto the field to inject more energy into the team. Jacobo had the first goal of the match at his feet after a good counterattack, but his shot went over the bar.

Pablo Sáenz also came close to scoring with a great shot from the edge of the box that hit the woodwork. The Burgos side, who barely capitalized on the sending off, also had a chance to take the win with an easy shot that Aarón Escandell saved brilliantly.

Mingo, Youness, Estanis, and David Jiménez were the other substitutions chosen by Calero to bring freshness to the team, but the scoreline remained unchanged. A good play by Estanis down the wing right after coming on brought the Tartiere to its feet in a new surge by Real Oviedo, but Burgos held on, and the match ended in a draw.
