Real Oviedo midfielder, Ramon Folch, has appeared in the Press Room at El Requexón.

The Catalan, who has the possibility of facing his former teammates this weekend, admitted that, “it is a special week and you receive messages from friends. It will be a special feeling. It’s my first time going there as an away player,” but he said that, “I must try to see it as any other game, as we want to win three points.”

Talking about his former club, Reus, and how Real Oviedo should approach the match in order to secure the victory, the central midfielder highlighted that, “they are a solid, consistent side who it is difficult to get the upper hand on. We must keep going as we have been; conceding little and scoring goals. Reus are a strong team at home, and you have to think quickly. We have shown that we can compete at any ground and we will go there looking for the win.”

With respect to the queues seen in the past couple of days, with thousands of Oviedistas waiting to purchase their ticket for the derby, the Catalan said that, “the fans are excited, but they have to understand that the Reus game is the most important. They are the most important three points right now. We are aware of what that game means to the fans, but we are only thinking about Reus. There are three important points available to stay towards the top of the league.”

Asked about the significance of travelling to Reus with four yellow cards, the midfielder stated that, “you think about it during the week, but it doesn’t change your performance. I have to put everything out of my mind and only think about the Reus match. There are three important points available.”

Regarding what is awaiting Los Carbayones in the coming matches, with the trip to Reus and the derby followed by a visit to Cádiz, Folch admitted that, “we have a difficult run of matches against direct rivals. Reus will be a difficult game, and we need to take it a week at a time.”

Speaking about Diego Fabbrini’s recovery, and what it means for the group to have a player of his characteristics available again, Folch said that, “He is excited. We all wanted him to fit into the group quickly. He’s always been in touch with the team, and now he’s here with us. He’s going to give us a lot.”

Finally, with regard to his feelings on an individual level, as one of the players to feature most under Anquela, the midfielder commented that, “I feel very good. I’ve played almost every game in all the recent seasons, but I look after myself and I don’t notice the number of games. If the Coach needs me, I’ll be there. I am happy with how I’ve done at this club so far,” concluded the Catalan.
