The newest Real Oviedo player, Olmes García, was official presented this lunchtime at the Carlos Tartiere, having completed his first training session with his new teammates.

The Head of Institutional Relations at the football club, César Martín, presented the player, thanking the player for his willingness to sign up to the club’s proposal and the project, as well as expressing gratitude for the good will of his former club, América de Cali, who enabled the deal to be completed.

The footballer declared himself “very happy to be here. I’ve completed a dream by coming to Europe to join a historic team like this one. I want to give my best to contribute to the team and help them to continue doing as well as they have been doing.”

For the Colombian forward, “it is a new challenge to play here. Not all footballers have an opportunity like this. I hope to stay for a long time and that my time here is very important.”

With respect to the positions he feels most comfortable in, Olmes highlighted that, “my characteristics mean that I am able to play as a striker or on the wing.” He described himself as a “quick, strong, agile player”. In addition, the player assured that he is physically ready for the Coach whenever he wants him to be available. He also added, “it’s always important to be there in the decisive moments for the team, but I am arriving more than anything with the mentality of contributing so that the team wins. Without your teammates you can’t do anything.”

After stating that he is ready to work as hard as possible, the forward commented that, “I’ve seen that the team is very united, and I am arriving with that mentality. I want to contribute like my teammates and defend and attack as the Coach tells me to,” he concluded.
