Olmes Signs for Real Oviedo

The Colombian forward arrives on a loan deal and will join training immediately, having visited the training ground this morning

Real Oviedo has reached an agreement to sign Olmes García. The Colombian forward arrives on a loan deal until the end of the current season.

The 25-year-old player was born on 21st October 1992 in Barranquilla, Colombia. He made his debut in the Colombian Primera División aged 17 for Deportes Quindío. He made a total of 57 appearances for his first club, scoring 9 goals. In 2013, he moved to the MLS in the USA. He spent three seasons at Real Salt Lake, playing 135 matches and scoring 14 goals. Olmes García moved to his current club, América de Cali, last season, and scored four goals in 25 games.


Olmes García stands out for his speed, power, and explosiveness. The player, who belongs to Real Salt Lake and was previously loaned to América de Cali, joins the Real Oviedo ranks until the end of the season on a loan deal.

The footballer will join training immediately, having passed medical tests this morning at Clínica Asturias. He will begin work under the orders of Juan Antonio Anquela tomorrow morning, so as to be available for selection as soon as possible.
