The first test of preseason for Real Oviedo and Vetusta took place at El Requexón this morning, with a great turnout from the fans who turned out to see the first friendly of the season for both sides.

Both teams used completely different elevens in each half. Javi Rozada´s side defended strongly in the first forty-five minutes and didn't make things easy for the first team. The best chances for the first team were
efforts from Joselu, Saúl Berjón, Sangalli and Mossa, but all were off-target or cleared by the B team's defence. Vetusta also had opportunities, with a Javi Mier shot grazing the post, and a fine strike from Rober Alarcón which went just over.

The B team took the lead in the second half, as Amez converted from a loose ball which dropped at the edge of the box. Following the goal, the first team gradually took control of the play and tried to find a way through to Vetusta's net. Riki, Ibra and Lolo all went in search of the equaliser, but luck didn't go their way. The match ended 0-1.

The first-team squad has now completed the first match of preseason, and will return to training at 9:30 on Monday at El Requexón.
