On this day, April 7, in the year 1935, Real Oviedo scored their 100th goal in the First Division, in a match played in San Sebastián against Donostia, now known as Real Sociedad.
The match, played at the Atocha stadium in San Sebastián, corresponded to the nineteenth round of the league, in which Real Oviedo had reached third place in the standings.
The Carbayón team, coached by Emilio Sampere, faced the match with the following lineup: Florenza, Jesusín, Laviada, Sirio, Soladrero, Chus, Casuco, Gallart, Lángara, Herrerita, and Emilín.
Lángara scored the first goal of the afternoon in the 6th minute. Donostia came back and made the score 3-1, which was the result at halftime. In the 50th minute, Lángara managed to score again, making it 3-2 and marking the 100th goal scored by Real Oviedo in the First Division. The Carbayón team would score three more goals, through Herrerita, in the 57th, 71st, and 78th minutes, and the match ended with a score of 3-5.
The Oviedo team would finish the season in third place, and Lángara would be crowned the top scorer of the First Division for the second consecutive time.
