The 'kilo Oviedista' campaign draws to a close, with our majority shareholder enabling the club to match the €11,565 raised through donations

The online charitable campaign for the Asturias Food Bank closed today (13th December), and was a huge success story of collaboration and fundraising. There was even one extra piece of great news to add the finishing touch and help #LosNuestros (Our Own) this Christmas.
The campaign, which was run in collaboration with APARO and Fondo Norte, and was started by donations from the coaching staff and first-team squad, saw a total of 11,565 euros raised. Club directors, members of staff, and players from the B team also took part. Oviedistas, with the peñas (supporters' clubs) at the heart, played a hugely important role in collecting the 'kilos Oviedistas'. These symbolically covered a large part of the NMR Carlos Tartiere in the 'one euro per seat' scheme, which aimed to virtually fill our stadium with solidarity. We would like to express our most sincere gratitude to every single person who has collaborated with us in raising funds. The entire total raised will be donated to the Asturias Food Bank in the coming days.
In addition, to add the finishing touch to this charity fundraising campaign, the club has doubled the amount of money raised, thanks to the collaboration of our majority shareholder, Grupo Carso. The total raised prior to this was €11,565.
