Anquela opted for the same starting eleven at the Nou Estadi, and Real Oviedo produced a fine start to the match. They created three clear chances, but failed to convert them. Joselu was first up, but his overhead kick grazed the post. Next, Tejera tried his luck with a powerful strike from the edge of the box, but he was denied by Becerra. Finally, Joselu couldn’t quite get enough on Saúl Berjón’s left-wing cross. However, just when Real Oviedo were enjoying their best spell, Nàstic managed to take the lead. The away side suffered ill-fortune and Suárez converted to make the score 1-0. It was Nàstic’s first real chance, but from that point onwards the Asturians struggled to create too much danger. Alfonso had to intervene to keep out a shot which had been heading towards the top corner, and the teams went in for halftime with the score 1-0.

Anquela made a double change ten minutes into the second half. Johannesson and Mossa were replaced by Javi Muñoz and Ibra. The team changed formation and strengthened in attack, using two strikers as they went in search of the equaliser. Saúl swung in a free kick from the left-hand side of the area, which Forlín nudged on, and which Ibra converted almost on the goal-line. Real Oviedo tried to complete their comeback, but couldn’t take their chances. Joselu’s header was kept out by Becerra, and the visitors were then denied a stonewall penalty. Shortly afterwards, Christian, Ramon Folch and a home player went up for a header, and Folch ended up seeing a second yellow. With ten minutes remaining, Real Oviedo were down to ten men. Despite this, they kept pushing and creating chances. However, Albentosa managed to make the score 2-1 from a free kick, with the final kick of the game. The goal came in the 94th minute, and won the game for Nàstic.

Real Oviedo will return to Asturias by coach and to training at 10:30 tomorrow (Monday), at El Requexón.
