Real Oviedo defender, Carlos Hernández, appeared in the Press Room at El Requexón today.
Having returned to training with the group, he commented that, “I was so hungry to return to the team after several weeks out. I’m happy to be back with the group. I feel good physically. It took a while. When you get injured you have a bad time. It’s hard. It’s over now, I’m ok and it’s time to give everything when the Coach calls on me.”
Asked for his experiences watching the team from afar, and his opinion on the formation, Carlos highlighted that, “you suffer. You watch the game from the outside and you analyse it differently. Last year we were good at it (the formation). It’s about looking for what’s best for the team and adapting.” In addition, regarding the formation, he reasoned that, “we have a good team to adapt to any formation. We have very good players in midfield and I think we’d be good with two up front too. Whatever is good for the team is welcome.
With respect to the confidence transmitted to him by Anquela during this period, the defender stated that, “the Coach has shown me his confidence since I came here. I have a very good relationship with him.”
Asked for the positive signs shown by the team during the start to this season, Carlos highlighted that, “the team always shows up. It’s true that we are letting points escape, but we have to improve. We have good players up front and I am sure that the goals will arrive.”
Finally, when questioned about the month of fixtures that the team now faces, the defender responded that, “every month is difficult. We can’t stop and look at what’s coming up. We want to have a good month and a great year,” he concluded.
