Real Oviedo lost 1-0 this evening to AD Alcorcón, who nicked all three points from the penalty spot.

On David Generelo's debut as the Blues head coach, he lined up Toché and Koné up front as Real Oviedo controlled the ball for most of the first half; fighting hard to equalise in the last part of the second half. The first chances for Real Oviedo were created by a Susaeta's free-kick that David Fernández could not connect and a goal by Koné that was disallowed due to off-side position. Then Rubén Miño, who performed confidently throughout the game, cleared a low shot close to the post to throw-in.

In the second half, AD Alcorcón hit top gear so Generelo was prompt to bring Edu Bedia, Hervías and Linares on to refresh his side. Miño cleared to corner kick a long high shot aiming at the crossbar. A few minutes later, the referee awarded a penalty kick to AD Alcorcón that David Rodríguez transformed into the winning goal from the twelve yards mark. Real Oviedo attacked steadly from them on to have their clearest chance well into injury time, when Dimitrovic blocked a cross from Susaeta when Koné was about to connect.

All in all, a defeat that leaves Real Oviedo on the third spot on Liga Adelante table before gameweek 30 has been complete.
