El Requexón today provided the backdrop for Real Oviedo Vetusta's ninth league fixture of the season. The side fell to a 1-0 home defeat against Zamora CF.
Jaime Álvarez opted for a starting eleven made up of Marco; Javi Moreno, Mangel, René Pérez, Gabri Rabanillo; Yayo, Nacho Estrada, Álex Cardero; Víctor Blanco, Mario Sesé and Enol, in a match marked by its high intensity and physicality.
The first half began with an injury to Javi Moreno, who had to leave the pitch after suffering an ankle injury, with Lucas Pariente coming on in his place. Neither side was really on top following the substitution, with both teams having opportunities. René Pérez, Sesé, and Álex Cardero had the best chances for the team from the capital of Asturias.
The B team conceded the only goal of the encounter after the halftime interval. A cross into the box saw a defensive mistake, and the visitors were able to take the lead. Jaime Álvarez's team kept trying after the setback, but were unable to find the way through. The Coach made a triple change, introducing Iván, Miguel Cuesta, and Mario Fuente, before later bringing on Nico Pereira in his final substitution. The match ended with the B team threatening, but ultimately without success.
Real Oviedo Vetusta will face Real Valladolid Promesas next time out, with kick-off at 12:00 on Sunday.
