Real Oviedo defender, and one of the captains of the first-team squad, Dani Calvo, appeared in the Press Room this morning, addressing the media gathered in El Requexón. Following ten days in México, the defender responded first to how the preseason tour had gone.
“It has been an enriching experience. Ten very good days getting to know the methodology of Pachuca. We have brought back our bags full of learning and experiences, and now we have to take advantage of that to get off to a good start this season,” pointed out the centre back. “The altitude was noticeable and I suffered the first few days. During the games as well. Little by little you start adapting to it,” he added.
With the team now entering the final stretch of preseason in the Asturian Capital, Dani Calvo expressed that “we are really looking forward to starting LaLiga. We are in good form and are only missing a few details, mainly those of our most recent transfers. We hope to arrive in the best shape possible for our first league match.”
Lastly, the defender analysed the squad and the group that has been formed at this point. “We have kept important parts of the team from last campaign and also the Coach, which for me was key. We hope that the new players can play their part and that we can get off to a positive start."
