Real Oviedo defender Christian Fernández today appeared in the Press Room at El Requexón.
Following last weekend's defeat at La Rosaleda, the Cantabrian admitted that "we want it to be Friday now and to get back to getting positive results.  They (Málaga) were better than us the other day and we didn't play as we had in the previous matches.  We have to reflect on it and improve."  In addition, regarding his shoulder pain, suffered in a collision during the last match, Christian commented that "it's part of the job.  It was just a pain in the shoulder.  Today it was decided that I wouldn't train, just as a precaution and so that I can recover."
Asked about the possibility of him playing full back this weekend, with Mossa missing after receiving his fifth yellow card of the season, the defender stated that "I'm a club man and I will try to help and perform at my best, wherever they put me."
Finally, regarding the importance of earning a victory at home this Friday, Christian said that "it's what you need in this division; consistency and wins.  We have to make the Tartiere a fortress and build the team's foundations at home."
