Real Oviedo footballer Ilyas Chaira spoke to the media ahead of the next league match and analyzed both the start of the season and the team's feelings after the first two games.
The forward acknowledged that the results have not been as expected: "Not getting points in these two games has been tough, but we are confident that we can achieve them in this next match."
Chaira highlighted the demands of the league, especially after facing Real Madrid: "Any mistake can hurt you. In the second half against them, we showed that we can compete against anyone."
Looking ahead to the next match, the blue player emphasized the importance of efficiency: "We have to be more decisive in both areas. When we reach the opponent's area, we must believe that we are going to score. I hope this week we can get the three points and score goals."
Regarding the team's evolution, the Moroccan stated: "We are all adapting to the league. In the first half against Madrid, we were more defensive, but in the second half, we pressed higher and created more danger. That is what we are aiming for."
As for the path to follow, Chaira stressed the need to earn points against direct rivals: "We have to get as many points as possible. This is just the beginning, and there is a long way to go."
The carbayón player also expressed gratitude towards the fans: "They are always with us. The atmosphere at the Tartiere is spectacular, and they support us at all times. It is something to be thankful for that they are always there."
Finally, Chaira showed respect for the upcoming opponents, though confident in the team's potential: "If we play like we did in the second halves, we can earn points on any field. We are going to start the game aiming for the win and the three points."
