Real Oviedo officially presented Josip Brekalo as a new player for the first team this Thursday. The event took place at the facilities of the Silken Monumental Naranco hotel, a sponsor of the Club, and was attended by the sporting director of the Oviedo team, Roberto Suárez. Representing the Silken Monumental Naranco was its general director, Ángel Zubizarreta.
During his speech, Brekalo expressed his enthusiasm for joining the project and shared his impressions of his first days as a "carbayón" footballer: “They have been very good for me because there is a team and staff behind me helping me integrate both into the club and the city. I feel very comfortable here in Oviedo.”
The Croatian international also confessed that his dream has always been to play in Spain and in La Liga: “The first contact was with the coach, as we speak the same language, and I loved the project. I am very happy to be here. I want to give my best to help.”
Finally, the sporting director, Roberto Suárez, acknowledged that “the club is keeping an eye on the final days of the transfer market and the opportunities that may arise, with the firm intention of building the best possible squad.”
