Real Oviedo and Real Sociedad have reached an agreement for a loan deal for Javi López for the duration of this season. The left back now joins Los Carbayones and will strengthen Veljko Paunovic's side's defence.
Javi López was born on 25th March 2002 in La Orotava, Tenerife. After coming through the youth ranks at Tenerife, the defender joined Deportivo Alavés, progressing to the B team in 2018. He continued to develop while with Alavés, and just two years later the full back made his way up to the first team, making his top-flight debut on 21st June 2020.
After spending four seasons with the Alavés first team, Real Sociedad signed him last summer, and he went on to play 38 matches for the Basque side, before now joining Real Oviedo.
