Real Oviedo winger Borja Sánchez this morning appeared in the Press Room at El Requexón.
Following yesterday's draw at the Fernando Torres stadium, the Asturian analysed the game, admitting that "it was a difficult game and the squad is hurting. We fought well during the match and managed to take the lead on two separate occasions, but they equalised twice. We are annoyed, but there is no option but to get up and train harder than ever. It had been a difficult month. We got an important victory the other day and had the intention of doing the same yesterday, but it wasn't to be. We have to be self-critical and keep working."
Asked about set pieces, which once again cost the side points yesterday, Borja stated that "we had been worrying about them recently. We did a great job against Lugo. The goals came from two unfortunate pieces of play yesterday, and we will have to analyse them and see where we slipped up."
Ahead of the next match against Real Zaragoza and regarding the importance of getting a win, the winger highlighted that "I'm not sure whether it will be a turning point or not, but we will go into it with the same intention: to put in a great performance. It was a difficult match away from home, but we came back to win. We will start preparing for it tomorrow."
Finally, with respect to how he feels now, a few weeks after overcoming Covid-19, Borja Sánchez highlighted that "I'm much better now. I've recovered on a physical level and am feeling much better. I have to keep working to be at my best in the coming matches."
