The participation of Juvenil A in the King’s Cup and the championship of Asturias obtained by Alevín A marked a new weekend for Real Oviedo’s academy.
Real Oviedo Vetusta lost at Román Suárez Puerta stadium. Juan Fidalgo’s side were not able to react to Real Avilés startup. The local team searched for the victory since the first minutes and scored two goals in the first half. Oviedo’s affiliate side lost 4-1, being Héctor the only scorer for Real Oviedo Vetusta. With this defeat, the affiliate’s side closed their season in Tercera División in the seventh spot in the table, three points behind the play-off positions.
Real Oviedo Juvenil A, which played the King’s Cup after 13 years, lost 5-3 against Athletic de Bilbao at Lezama. Álex Rodríguez’s side took the lead thanks to a goal by Steven. In the 29th minute the Bilbao side equalized the match and scored two more goals before the half time. In the second part, the Carbayón side saw their player Fran get sent off. Although playing with one less player, Viti scored a goal and left the score 3-2. In the final part of the match the local side increased their gap in the score, scoring two more goals, and in the stoppage time Steven scored again for Real Oviedo, leaving the score 5-3. The return match will take place next Saturday, starting at 18:00 at El Requexón.
Juvenil B got a 1-1 draw against Real Avilés, with a goal by Juancho. With this victory, the Carbayón team finish their participation in the regular phase, in which they have been crowned winners, with a gap of 9 points over the second, Sporting Gijón.
Real Oviedo Cadete A participated in the Coca Cola Cup. The Blues won their first match, against Llano 2000, with goals by Simón. In their second match, the club’s first Cadete team tied 1-1 against Asunción, with goal scored by Carlos. The Carbayón side lost in the penalty kicks against Sporting Gijón.
Real Oviedo Cadete B drawed 3-3 against Astur. The Blues’ goals were scored by Antón and by Dani, twice.
Infantil B lost 0-1 against Villa de Pravia.
Real Oviedo Benjamín A won 7-3 against Juventud Estadio with goals by Nico (2), Unai (2), Daniel (2) and Mauro. With one matchday left, the Blues crowned champions of the League, having three points more than the second, Sporting Gijón.
Real Oviedo Benjamín B won 3-4 against Juventud Estadio D. The Blues’s goals were scored by Martín Muñiz and Farpón (3).
Real Oviedo Prebenjamín A won 0-2 against Quirinal, with goals by Antón and Sergio Coto.
Real Oviedo Prebenjamín B lost 2-4 against Juventud Estadio, with goals by Roi and Darío.
