Matapiñonera today hosted the latest league fixture for Real Oviedo Vetusta, in a match which also saw Emilio Cañedo take charge of his first game as Head Coach of the B team.
Los Azules triumphed 3-2 against San Sebastián de los Reyes, in what was a hard-fought and competitive match right up until the final whistle. Real Oviedo Vetusta took the lead through Pierre in the 21st minute of the first half and tried to keep hold of the ball and create danger through their men on the wings. Sanse found an equaliser before the interval, however, and the teams went in for halftime with the score 1-1. The hosts struck first in the second half, but Real Oviedo Vetusta kept fighting to the end. Emilio Cañedo's team were the better side, and got their reward through two further goals. Rober Sierra scored the equaliser, before Alarcón converted from the spot to complete the comeback.
The B team today picked up another three points in the Segunda B and are now fifth in the table. They will face Pontevedra next Sunday at El Requexón.
