The Real Oviedo striker appeared before the gathered media today at El Requexón
Real Oviedo forward Alemão appeared in the Press Room at El Requexón this morning, following yesterday's important victory over Alcorcón at the Carlos Tartiere. "The team played very well throughout the whole match. We deserved the three points and we had a lot of opportunities. It was a fair result. I am happy to have played a bit more, and I would like to thank the fans for the affection they showed."
The striker played twenty minutes yesterday, and today discussed his injury and the recovery process. "I felt pain right from the start, but I played against Burgos and everything was fine. In the training session after that match I felt more pain, and the tests showed it to be a Grade 2 injury. At the start I hadn't thought it was so serious."
Los Azules are now focused on Wednesday's Copa del Rey match againt Manresa, and Alemão was asked about the fixture. "We also have a cup in Brazil, and, like the Gaffer said yesterday, we want to win on Wednesday. We have to keep going with that mentality both in the league and in the cup, and win the next match."
