Real Oviedo continues shaping the celebration of its centenary with a new initiative that will unite art, the city, and the blue sentiment. Throughout this week, the Club will launch a street art campaign, aiming to pay tribute to Oviedismo through a large-scale artwork that aspires to become a visual icon.

The project will be led by Global Street Art, a leading European company in mural painting and hand-painted advertising, with a global presence and a distinguished international track record. With more than 3,000 public art pieces produced — including the renowned London Mural Festival — the company will bring its expertise to create a unique artistic intervention in the city and the region.

The project, which was due to begin on 17 March, was initially planned for a façade located at the junction of Calle Real Oviedo and Calle Samuel Sánchez. However, following a technical assessment, it was determined that this surface did not meet the optimal conditions for carrying out the work, which meant that its location had to be reconsidered.

Ultimately, the mural is being created at the Carlos Tartiere Stadium, whilst retaining its symbolic essence. Beyond its aesthetic dimension, the artwork remains conceived as a representation of the legacy, identity and passion of all Oviedo supporters, now integrated into a space even more closely linked to the Club and establishing itself as a landmark for fans and visitors alike.

This initiative is part of the set of actions promoted by Real Oviedo on the occasion of its centenary, a historic milestone that the Club wants to celebrate by leaving a lasting mark. The mural aspires to become an indelible memory of this significant date, a visual testimony that endures over time and keeps the pride and history of Oviedismo alive for future generations.
