Real Oviedo experienced an unforgettable day this Saturday on the occasion of its Centenary, an event filled with emotion, memories, and blue sentiment that turned the Carlos Tartiere stadium into the epicenter of Oviedismo.

The celebration began with one of the most symbolic moments of the day: the inauguration of new gates at the stadium, a permanent recognition for key figures in the club's history. From now on, the Tartiere will forever bear the names of Javier Álvarez Alonso, Esteban Suárez, Paulo Bento, and José María García la Villa.

Another of the most emotional events was the traditional planting in the Oviedista Forest, which on this occasion featured a very special guest: Pelayo Sánchez Mayo, a renowned cyclist and devoted Oviedista, who left his mark on this significant space for the fans.

Later, starting at 1:00 PM, Oviedismo was able to enjoy the fan zone and the usual tent set up in the parking lot of the Carlos Tartiere, in collaboration with APARO and Fondo Norte.

The day continued with the presentation of the 15th edition of the Herrerita Trophy, where recognition was given to prominent names in the blue community. Victoria Álvarez Rubiera, known as "Vicky," took first place, followed by Paulo Bento himself. Third place went to Les Sacaveres, in a ceremony that highlighted the contributions of significant figures to Oviedismo.

After these institutional and emotional events, the spotlight shifted to the pitch. First, a match from the tournament organized with Mahou was played, serving as the perfect prelude to the day's main event: the Centenary Match. In it, teams of Friends of Santi Cazorla and Friends of Esteban Suárez faced off, bringing together historic footballers such as Paulo Bento, Amavisca, Marchena, Baptista, Marcos Senna, Movilla, and Ulloa, among many others.

Additionally, the day also featured musical performances by Javi Robles and the Real Banda de Gaitas 'Ciudad de Oviedo'.

The event, beyond the result, was a celebration of the Club's past, present, and future. Reunions, applause, and nostalgia blended together in an afternoon that will remain etched in the memory of all Oviedistas as a true celebration of football and blue identity.
