El Requexón this morning played host to the latest league fixture for Real Oviedo Vetusta, with the hosts triumphing 2-1 over CD Tudelano.

Javi Rozada’s side, who outplayed their opponent and created more chances, set up for the match with the intention of keeping possession. The movement of their attackers and good fortune with their finishing proved key to the victory. The first half began with a minute’s silence in honour of Edu Cortina’s father. ‘Los Carbayones’ controlled the first half from start to finish. They sought to create danger in attack, but were unable to make the most of their chances. The away side then took the lead in the second half, but Vetusta never gave up, and would get their reward through goals from Ernesto and Ugarte. First, Sandoval was denied by the keeper, and Ernesto converted the rebound, before Ugarte headed home an effort
which the keeper was powerless to do anything about.

This victory saw Real Oviedo Vetusta get back to winning ways and pick up three important points ahead of their next three matches, which will see them face Gimnástica de Torrelavega, Sporting B and Amorebieta.
