This Thursday, Real Oviedo presented, in the GAM press room at Carlos Tartiere, the schedule of events and activities that will take place during the month of March as part of the Blue Centenary commemoration, which will mark its conclusion.

The Club has designed a multidisciplinary program aimed at both local and international fans, combining football, art, culture, innovation, and social action, with the goal of turning this anniversary into a global celebration that transcends the playing field and projects the history of Oviedismo internationally.

Centenary Match

One of the main events will be the Centenary Match, which will feature teams Friends of Santi Cazorla and Friends of Esteban Suárez, bringing together historic footballers and figures such as Joaquín Sánchez, Julio Baptista, Aleix Vidal, Marcos Senna, Raúl Albiol, Piatti, Juanfran Torres, Javi Navarro, and Adrián López, among others.

The match, which will take place on March 28 at 6:00 PM, will be accompanied by a full day of festivities beforehand in the parking lot area, in collaboration with APARO and Fondo Norte. To enjoy the match, which will also be preceded by a final between two teams of season ticket holders competing in a preliminary tournament thanks to Fútbol Mahou, access will be as follows:

  • Season ticket holders: free access with card (guests for €3)
  • Oviedista card: free access by collecting an invitation
  • General public: tickets for €10
  • Live music
  • Fan Zone and children's area for the whole family

Invitations and tickets for the match can be obtained online at entradas.realoviedo.es, and deadlines for collection will be announced in the coming days.

Additionally, Oviedismo will also take center stage thanks to the Stars Tournament, a unique experience organized by the Club in collaboration with Mahou, allowing Oviedista season ticket holders to experience football from the inside.

This initiative will offer participants the opportunity to share the blue spirit while competing to fulfill a dream: playing a final at the Carlos Tartiere stadium.

First Phase at El Requexón

The first phase of the tournament will take place on Saturday, March 7, at the El Requexón Sports City. A total of eight teams formed by Club season ticket holders will compete in an 11-a-side football format during a day that will include quarterfinal and semifinal matches.

Beyond the competition, the event is designed as a complete experience for fans. After the matches, players will be able to enjoy a social space designed to share impressions, discuss the best plays, and strengthen bonds among Oviedistas in a relaxed atmosphere.

A Historic Final at Carlos Tartiere

The two winning teams from this first phase will advance to the grand final, which will be held on March 28 at Carlos Tartiere, coinciding with the main event of Real Oviedo's centenary.

Open Registrations for Season Ticket Holders

Registrations are now open and can be made through this link, where all information about the participation process is also available. To take part in the tournament, it is essential to be a Real Oviedo season ticket holder.

Mahou Cinco Estrellas, a sponsor of Real Oviedo for over a decade, strengthens this partnership with an initiative based on shared values such as passion, effort, and teamwork, aiming to bring football closer to fans through unique experiences tied to the Oviedista spirit.

Centenary Documentary

March will also see the official presentation of the Centenary documentary, produced by Informe Plus.

The premiere will include the presence of fans and will mark the first public screening of an audiovisual piece designed to leave a lasting impression and preserve the emotional memory of the club through its protagonists and history.

Street Art

The Centenary will also leave a permanent mark on the city through an artistic intervention led by the European company Global Street Art.

The project will transform a facade located in the city center into an iconic image of Oviedismo, conceived not as mere decoration but as a union between art and the city, destined to become a visual reference for the Club and its surroundings. The legacy of all Oviedistas turned into art.

Street Marketing: Real Oviedo in the Streets of the World

The blue entity will also promote an international digital action of street marketing with a presence in cities such as London, Madrid, Barcelona, and Mexico City.

The initiative aims to turn the street into the Club's brand image, including a large-format interactive installation located in one of Madrid's key areas, reinforcing the international projection of the Centenary.

Oviedo, Host of the Medicine and Sports Congress

The Asturian capital will host the Medicine and Sports Congress, bringing together specialists and professionals from the healthcare and sports fields.

The event will feature:

  • Keynote speech by Toni Nadal

  • Participation of the Medical Services of Real Oviedo, FC Barcelona, and Atlético de Madrid

  • Presence of medical students from the University of Oviedo and international students.

An event that will strengthen the link between sports, health, and research.

The Centenary Book

The program will also include the limited edition of the official Centenary book, 100 Years of Mud & Sky, a work that explores the emotional and sporting history of the club through its most representative moments.

Institutional Trip to the Vatican

Finally, the Centenary will also have a marked institutional character with an official trip to the Vatican City, where an audience with the Holy Father will be held.

The expedition will include the presence of captains and coaches from the men's and women's first teams, Vetusta, and Real Oviedo Genuine, as part of an institutional mission promoted by the Real Oviedo Foundation.

With this extensive program, Real Oviedo faces a historic March in which sports, art, culture, and social commitment will come together to celebrate one hundred years of blue identity, strengthening the bond between the Club, the city, and a fanbase that continues to be the true driving force of its history.
