Yoel Bárcenas appeared before the Press following today’s training session, declaring himself “happy to start my second year with Real Oviedo. I still have the same excitement, but a bit more experience now that I know the league. It’s not going to be easy, but it will be a calmer year.”

Following an excessively heavy season due to international commitments, the winger has enjoyed a well-deserved holiday, explaining “I needed to relax. I had a break and thanks to God we were able to do the loan deal. I am very happy and ready to give it everything.”

With respect to his physical condition and how he’s found the team upon his return, Yoel said that “today was my first training session with the group. I’ve not seen much yet, but I have seen the Coach’s ideas. I will try to adapt to what he asks of me. He’s suggested some new things this time, and I will try to get used to what he’s asking of me as quickly as possible.”

Finally, regarding the number of teammates capable of playing on the wing, the Panamanian concluded by saying that “competition is good for the team and I’m a winger, but I will be ready for whatever the Coach wants.”
