Real Oviedo winger, Viti Rozada, appeared in the Press Room at Las Caldas after today’s recovery session.

Regarding yesterday’s game at the Carlos Tartiere, the Asturian, who started against CD Numancia, acknowledged that “it was a difficult match due to both teams’ situations. It was important that we got the three points, and, given other results, we have to keep winning.”

With respect to his starting role, the youth-academy product noted that “the Coach talked to me during the week and told me that I would have the opportunity. I can only contribute to the squad and try to give my soul for the shirt and for the badge.” In addition, regarding the ovation he received at the Carlos Tartiere when he was subbed off, Viti believes that “Real Oviedo fans have always praised me; I am enormously grateful. This fanbase asks that players defend the badge as it deserves and that's what I try to do.”

When asked about the results at the Anxo Carro and the Ramón de Carranza, which left Real Oviedo within three points of a playoff spot, the winger admitted that “nobody expected Lugo to beat Deportivo La Coruña, nor Cádiz to draw. Now it’s up to us to win this weekend; it will be a ‘cup final’. Given the other results, we’re still alive and will continue to believe until the last moment. We will fight to the last minute.”

Lastly, talking about the fact that various youth-academy products featured in the starting lineup against Numancia, Viti stressed that “it is a great feat for Real Oviedo. We hope that there will be even more in the future. Real Oviedo’s youth academy is one of the best in Spain, and we have seen  that this year with the B team. Jimmy, Javi, and I have had minutes and we will do our best to stay in the starting lineup,” concluded the Asturian.
