Real Oviedo winger, Viti, appeared in the Press Room at El Requexón following the first team’s return to training.

The Asturian began by describing his feelings after returning to the matchday squad for the match at the Artés Carrasco and playing some minutes in the Real Oviedo win. “I am very happy. The Coach trusts me. I didn’t expect to travel to Lorca and it was a nice surprise to get into the squad. I thought I would be getting some minutes with Vetusta. Now I need to make the most of my opportunities and keep working.” In addition, the Carbayón winger believes that, “the Coach is transparent, he tries to pick those who deserve it. If you give everything on the pitch he will back you to the death, and he is proving that.”

After the encounter in Lorca, the attacking player declared his happiness on Twitter at having featured and avoided injury. Asked about his post on social media, Viti stated that, “after recovering from injury it’s best not to take everything too seriously. Things are hard when you are injured, especially psychologically. It was a joke after the match, I was happy and feeling good.”

Finally, with respect to the fine run of form the team is currently enjoying, with four wins from the last five matches, the Asturian admitted that, “we are doing well. The Coach has found the right formula. Now it’s time to keep working, picking up points, and continuing along these lines. This will be a long season, and although we are on a good run there are a lot of games to go. Osasuna are coming here this weekend, and we want revenge after the last time we played them. It was a horrible match. They needed to score four against us and they did it,” remembered the local lad.
