Matchday 16 in Grupo I of the Segunda División B took Real Oviedo Vetusta to Galicia to face Celta de Vigo's B team.  The match ended in a 3-1 defeat for the Asturians.
After an intense week of work for Los Azules, who have faced three matches in seven days, Emilio Cañedo's team emerged at the Municipal de Barreiro aware of the need to get the three points to add the finishing touch to their demanding week.  The first half began with a setback, as José Martínez received a red card, and was a constant duel between the two teams, who both had good chances to score.  Celta B opened the scoring in the 18th minute.  Despite the difficult situation, Real Oviedo Vetusta kept going and looked to their frontmen to threaten the home net.  Rober Alarcón, Vanderson and Steven had opportunities to equalise, but were unable to do so, and the teams went in for halftime with the score 1-0. Emilio Cañedo's side pushed on in the second half, proving that they are a brave and physical team in every challenge.  In one of the first chances of the second half, Tarsi made the most of a loose ball in the area to level the scores.  Real Oviedo Vetusta wanted more and let their opponents know it, creating a lot of danger.  However, Celta B added a second in the 75th minute, before sealing the win with a third goal in the closing stages.
Despite the defeat, Real Oviedo Vetusta end the week having taken six points from nine against some of the most difficult teams in the division. Cañedo's team will next be in action at 11:30 on Sunday, when they play Melilla at home.
