Real Oviedo defender Carlos Hernández today analysed the victory in Alcorcón, following the team's return to training at El Requexón.  The centre back said that "we needed an away win.  It boosts our morale and gives us confidence for the final two games (before the winter break) so that we can finish the year in the best way possible.  The sensations were very good.  You could see the team was going to win right from the start. We went to a tough ground and got three points.  That's the important thing."
Asked about the defensive solidity exhibited, Carlos explained that "we had been playing badly and conceding goals away from home, but this match was good in all senses.  The team had its ideas very clear in our minds. We knew which ground we were playing at and everything went perfectly.  We all need to be at our best to get through this."
In addition, the defender highlighted that "on a personal level, it is always a good feeling when you win.  I am happy for the team and also with my performance.  We have to maintain our defensive solidity.  We know that it's key to not concede goals in this division, especially away from home. It's about minimising mistakes at the back, and I think we are improving a lot in that regard."
Finally, with respect to the next opponent, Cádiz, Carlos commented that "it's a good time to face them.  They are coming into it with a few doubts, while we've won two in a row.  We mustn't get carried away.  We have to be realistic, but it would be a good game to win in order to finish the final match of the year at the Tartiere in the best way possible."
