Real Oviedo Vetusta were back home today, for the Matchday 10 fixture against Real Avilés Industrial in Group 1 of the Segunda RFEF. Following two difficult away trips, to Pontevedra and Zamora, Jaime Álvarez's side went into today's encounter with the clear objective of getting back to winning ways. The coach opted for a starting eleven made up of Marco, Osky, Jaime Vázquez, Aimar Collante, Adri, Yayo, Izan, Víctor Blanco, Dieguito, Santi Miguélez and Xavi Sola.

The first half was an even affair, with one passage of play changing everything. Los Azules stood up to Real Avilés and put in a very professional performance, but in the 25th minute Mecerreyes broke the deadlock for the visitors. A fine run and finish from the midfielder gave the away side a 1-0 lead going into the half-time interval.

Jaime Álvarez brought on Lamine, Enol, and Marco Esteban during the break, and the match changed completely. Los Carbayones pushed further forward and dominated the majority of the second half. In the 57th minute Yayo scored a great goal to level the scoring. Vetusta attacked even more following the equaliser, but weren't quite able to convert their good minutes into a winning goal. Jorge was dismissed in stoppage time, but the score remained 1-1.

This was an important point for Real Oviedo Vetusta, who improved as the match progressed, and who looked to complete the comeback after Yayo's goal. The draw moves Jaime Álvarez's team onto ten points, and they are now looking ahead to the fixture against Rayo Cantabria.
